What is hypnotherapy?

It’s not stage stuff – that’s entertainment.  I am ‘clinical’.  Let’s lift that weight off your shoulders.

Hypnosis is a really gentle, natural yet dynamic state of mind and is an important part of everyday life. Whenever our mind wanders, daydreams or is focused on something, such as reading a book, driving a familiar route, watching a film we are in a state of hypnosis.

When you allow yourself to take the pressure off a bit, your unconscious mind may be more susceptible to positive suggestion.  This is particularly helpful to change deep rooted behaviours such as overcoming anxiety by using suggestion techniques to encourage your thought patterns to change.

You are in control

Do we give up control of our mind to someone else when we are reading a book or watching a film? In situations like this you are in a hypnotic trance, although you still have the power to come out of that state if you wished. You have the control.

Often the realisation that you are in control, and that you can make change yourself is very empowering. See how easy it is to let go, secure in the knowledge that you can always stop a session if you feel uncomfortable.

We are always dipping in and out of hypnosis and, if you prefer, we can have an open discussion about this, by altering the language patterns, using suggestions relating to your goal and the changes you wish to make, without taking you into a ‘trance state’ at all.

The client……

Often clients arrive with one story and leave with a new story, this is what occurs during our session together.  We have used hypnotherapy as a way to change how you behave and think.  After all, your living reality comes from the way you think.  Knowing you can choose your thoughts wisely and react to events in a calmer focused way is like a weight being lifted from your shoulders.

Hypnotherapy is not only a tool to make wonderful changes in your life, it is a great way to de-stress.  It is enjoyable therapy where, in a short period of time, you find yourself back in control.

How can hypnotherapy help me?

Do you want to feel amazing, on top of the world and back in control? Are you eager to let the stress, worries, anxiety and phobias stop?  Are you fed up with feeling ‘stuck’ in a worry rut?  Is your work/life balance out of sync? Are you carrying around a heavy weight that you just can’t seem to shift?  Do  you feel burnt out, agonise over decisions or find yourself procrastinating? This therapy is safe, natural and deeply relaxing.  After a session you will feel the difference and be more able to cope with your situations.

My story…….

When I ‘hit the wall’ a few years ago and tuned to hypnotherapy to help me get back on track I was amazed at the results.  It showed me my strengths and skills that had been buried in my busy life and work schedule – know what I mean?  It is also lovely to go into a wonderful feeling of utter relaxation, this is a by product of hypnosis – the difference to how you feel in just 20-30 minutes is amazing.

Change your mind, change your story

All the answers lie within you! I need you need to be committed and ready to make the change you desire to make the most of the hypnotherapy.
